Turnkey systems

We provide two innovative turnkey systems for processing by-products:

1. Chicken and turkey feathers into high-quality protein-rich feather meal with high digestibility and low level of fat.
2.
Fish filleting by-products into high quality fish meal with low level of fat and high-quality fish oil.

Feather meal system

Our innovative continuous system and machinery allows obtaining maximum value from chicken and turkey feathers, which is a safe, abundant, protein rich and underutilised by-product of poultry production.

Feathers contain 85% protein. That protein, however, is of keratine type, with 5% digestibility in a raw state, and the great challenge is making it digestible. This is where our system succeeded.

Its end product, high-quality protein-rich feather meal, has above 85% digestibility and less than 3% fat content.  The resulting amino acid composition provides a viable and sustainable alternative to fish meal and soybean meal in the production of aqua feed and pet food.

The innovative system is resource-efficient and requires no steam. It generates minimum process pollution, which is most evident in relation to wastewater, exhaust air and process odour.

DCE drying-cooling equipment with in-built milling is used for drying, cooling and packing the end product feather meal.

The innovative system transforms the value of feathers in economy from negative value waste, mostly disposed of in landfills/incinerated, into a valuable resource, from which a much-needed high-quality protein for feed can be derived. In this way it strengthens the link between food and feed industries in circular bioeconomy.

Fish (filleting) by-products meal system

Our innovative continuous system and machinery for processing fish (filleting) by-products allows obtaining two high-quality end products: 1) high-quality fish meal with <5% fat content, and 2) high-quality fish oil, not subjected to overheating and denaturation.

The focus is on optimal processing regime to obtain maximum value from the raw material, while not causing denaturation at any stage of the process.
